As Pigeon Be Pigeon evolved, I started messing around with various new gestures really pushing the limit to how I want these illustrations of pigeons to be portrayed. I wanted to make them not only relatable, but also nostalgic, familiar, and just fun and approachable.
The Pigeon holding the boom box is suppose to recall a moment in time with gritty and grainy sounds of lower Manhattan and a sewer that always seems to be steaming.
